An Alphabetical List of Lafayette’s BEST OB/GYN’s

Dr. Alleyn

“I really love Dr. Alleyn. She is competent, caring, and understanding!”

Dr. Badeaux

“Dr Badeaux in Opelousas was not my regular doctor, but I was high risk and my doctor was out of state so I became his top priority. Poor Dr Badeaux! My first visit with him turned into, we have to admit you and might have to deliver 1.5 months early, oh and you could have seizures at any moment! He fought so hard to keep my daughter in as long as he could! When we finally had to deliver several days later, he cheered with us! She was mostly healthy! It was scary not having Dr. Kempf there, but I couldn’t have asked for a better stand in!”

Dr. Bourque

“Dr Bourque is amazing. I had to have an emergency section due to baby being breach and he was wonderful! He said if it wasn’t my first he would have allowed me to try natural birth, and is open to VBAC if I decide to try it next time.”

“Dr Bourque! Not only am I his patient but I work with him at Park Place. I’ve seen both sides of this man and they are the same. He’s simply amazing. He literally saved my son and I’s life. He was impressively fast at driving to LGMC in the middle of the night and getting my son out of me in 3 minutes! He’s very knowledgeable and gets the job done when things get scary for mom and baby! He’s def our angel!”

“I always tell people that Dr. Danny Bourque is the reason we have children! He is the most down-to-earth, patient, and wonderful doctor I’ve ever seen. Through six miscarriages and many, many tears, he and his tremendous staff are the reason we stayed the course and have two gorgeous daughters. They truly felt like family.”

Dr. Calliet

“Dr Frank Calliet. He delivered my twins. I had complications after birth and he saved my life. Recommend him hands down best in Lafayette in my opinion!”

“Dr. Caillet hands down! Very personal and compassionate. No B.S. but super friendly. Even my husband recommends him to people.”

Dr. Cardinale

“Dr. Francis Cardinale was a fantastic doctor throughout my pregnancy, labor, and delivery!”

Dr. Cudihy

“Dr. Damon Cudihy!!! He has a great bedside manner–very calm and patient. He is so respectful of a mother’s birth preferences and explains everything so well. A great doctor for VBACs too!”

“Dr. Cudihy is my OB/GYN and I love his calm and patient demeanor. When I am a crazy pregnant person, he keeps me sane! He’s also extremely knowledgeable and explains things in a way to make the common person (me) understand. He is top notch!”

Dr. Elias

“Dr. Darryl Elias is the absolute hands down BEST Ob! He’s straight to the point and cuts the 💩! I love that he can be real with me and not just spew medical terms my way! He did my c section with my 2.5 year old and will do my second c section Monday! His staff is always friendly and accommodating!”

Dr. Fernandez

“Dr. Fernandez at women’s delivered my third and was absolutely amazing. My ob of 15+ years is Dr. Mika King who’s the ultimate physician and delivered my second. Dr. Fusilier delivered my first and he was amazing as well. All three doctors have amazing bedside manner and allowed me to follow my birth-plan with the smallest amount of intervention possible. All 3 were wonderful experiences.”

Dr. Foster

Dr Foster! She was really sweet & down to earth! Great to get along with! Answered every question & spent as much time with you as you needed!”

Dr. Fuselier

“Dr. John Fuselier was the most kind and caring doctor I could have asked for. Although I won’t be having any more children, I’m so thankful he was the doctor to be my doctor (and support) through a long pregnancy and a rough recovery. I would recommend him to anyone and hold a special place for him in my heart.”

“Dr. Fuselier at Women’s. The most kindest, most gentle and compassionate man alive!”

Dr. Hardey

“Dr Kim Hardey, amazing delivery..such a kind and patient man.”

“Dr. Nicole Harper delivered my first. She is absolutely amazing.”

“She’s the absolute best!!! I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else by my side for those 9 long months and the day of my son’s birth.”

Dr. Jarnagin

“Jarnagin in opelousas! He and his staff are incredible and he never made me feel like I was bothering him when I was overreacting about something! He kept me calm and listened to all of my concerns!”

Dr Jurgelsky

“Dr Jurgelsky delivered my 5 yr old and my 3 wk old baby boy. I too agree that she really listens and is patient, best bedside manners ever experienced with a OB/GYN here in Lafayette. Will keep seeing her till she retires or I leave the state. 100% satisfied with her and her office/medical staff.”

Dr. Kennedy

“Dr. Rose Kennedy !!!!! The BEST !!!!”

“Dr. Rose Kennedy. She delivered all 4 of mine. My first was a stillborn at 36 weeks and she wasn’t even on call that weekend and came in to deliver Needless to say my second pregnancy I worried the whole time and she handled all my concerns and panic attacks with ease. My other two were easy pregnancies and she is so easy and comforting!!! She is awesome! Highly recommend.”

Dr. King

“Dr Mika King delivered my baby boy and was my doctor during both my pregnancies. She was the best doctor and friend to me during that special time! Best doctor I’ve ever had!”

“Dr Mika King! Will never see anyone else. She is kind and compassionate and always goes above and beyond even when she doesn’t have to! I was terrified when I found out I needed a c section but her calmness put me at ease! She even prayed with me before we went in for surgery! My husband thought she would be coming over for gumbo after that’s how much she felt and treated us like family! I had a high risk pregnancy and even though she was not the Dr on call she never left my side until my baby boy was here!”

Dr. LeBlanc

Dr. Opal Leblanc! She is wonderful! She has been through miscarriage, pregnancies, and everything in between with me and has been so supportive and loving. She has always made me feel comfortable and like my fears were heard. When I was laboring with my son his heart rate dropped a bit and the nurses were saying c-section. She made sure to try something else before rushing me into a section and it worked. I’m forever grateful for her patience. Seriously love her so much and would recommend her to anyone.”

Dr. Meaux

“Dr. Rachelle Meaux! She was amazing – my delivery couldn’t of been more textbook perfect…. she’s the best!”

Dr. Padgett

“Absolutely adored Dr. Charles Padgett. He stayed so calm and is really the only reason why I was able to deliver my 10lb daughter vaginally! He didn’t rush my body and warned me it would probably be the next day. She got stuck on my tail bone and he used some simple techniques to help me. And I almost hemorrhaged which he stayed SO calm through! And my sons birth was just wonderful so he literally just caught the baby!”

“I would recommend Dr. Padgett time and time again!! He is so gentle, understanding, and knowledgeable. He made me feel comfortable with every concern I had every step of the pregnancy and delivery. He makes each one of his patients feel special. He delivered me and was able to deliver my baby. He holds a special place in our hearts!”

Dr. Pugliese

“Dr. Pugliese was beyond amazing! When we lost our first son at 22 weeks, she ran numerous test to find an answer. When I was expecting again, she understood all the worry and fear. Allowed me to come in if I felt scared or feared the worst. She delivered our 2nd beautiful boy October 2017 and I couldn’t not be more thankful for her and her nurses. When our Benjamin’s heart rate dropped with contractions, she rushed us to surgery for a c-section. She always does what is best for mom and baby. She is an angel!”

Dr. Stutes

“Dr. Stutes has been the most incredible ob/gyn I’ve had the pleasure of working with. She kept such a sense of calm as my labor and delivery went from boring to scary and saved my son’s life.”

One Response to Lafayette’s Best OB/GYNs, Birth and Postpartum Resources

Dr Paul Dibbs was my high risk doctor. I was nervous at first because I had a female OBGYN for my other children. He made me feel safe and well cared for. He is very knowledgeable and in my opinion one of the best in his field.I was hospitalized due to preeclampsia and had to be delivered at 33 weeks. I knew me and my baby were in the best hands possible. I would reccommend him to anyone out there looking for high risk care. Lafayette General is an amazing hospital and they give the best care to mother and baby. The NICU staff and doctors are wonderful and took great care of our little boy! Thanks Dr Dibbs and Lafayette General
