March 2 :: The Learning Train’s Open Play time schedules will allow for parents and children to simply play in a safe and caring environment. The equipment and activities are appropriate for children 6 months – 5 years old. Call or message to reserve a space. There is no membership required; 9:30 – 11:30am.

March 2 & 17 :: Postpartum Support Group at Lafayette Moms and Babies from 10:00 am – 11:00 am. FREE postpartum support group for mothers. Need to talk about the stresses of motherhood or just be around other women that are also raising little ones? Come join us!
March 3 :: Rouses Kids Cooking Class with Chef Sally – Join Rouses on Johnston St. from 10:00 – 11:30 am. This month the kids will make Chick Deviled Eggs and a Twinkie Peep Race Car. Each child will have the option to enjoy their delicious creations or take them home to enjoy later. They will also be sent home with a recipe to make the chick deviled eggs. Space is limited. March 7 :: Toddler Time at the Paul and Lulu Hilliard University Art Museum – Parents and their children will enjoy story time, songs with finger play, participate in a hands-on art project, and may explore the museum after the program. The event begins at 10:00 am. This event is free to attend thanks to the generous support of Quest Pediatrics Dentistry.

Next, PICK UP YOUR ADVENTURE MAP -Adventure maps, along with a complete list of adventure day activities, will be available for pick-up March 5th-9th at Healing House Administrative Offices 715 Lee Ave Lafayette, La 70501. March 11 :: Bunny Cares at the Acadiana Mall from 10:30 – 11:30 am – Individuals within every spectrum of special needs and their families are invited to a private photo session, to experience the time-honored tradition of a visit with the Easter Bunny during dedicated hours. March 24 :: Mix It Up Lafayette Teen/Tween Chopped Basket – One of the most popular shows that kids love is Chopped! We will have a chopped style basket that the kids will love! The basket will challenge their creative skills We will help them along each step of the way. This is best for mature 9 year olds – 14 year olds. The class is from 6:00 – 7:30 pm and parents my join at 7:30 pm for plating and tasting.

March 24 :: Superheroes Lafayette Children’s Carnival at Dat Dog with Wonderland Performing Arts – Get ready to fly UP, UP and AWAY with The Lafayette Children’s Carnival. March 25 :: Join the Bayou Church for a Spring Picnic & Easter egg Hunt from 4:00 – 7:00 pm- Dust off your baskets, and join us for an Easter Egg Hunt at The Bayou Church’s annual Spring Picnic on Sunday, March 25. All children (Birth-5th grade) are invited to search for the 10,000 eggs packed with candy and prizes in one of four designated fields. Then, we’ll continue the festivities with family fun games such as sack races, three-legged races, and more. Pack a picnic for your family or order a meal from a local food truck. With live music, we’ll have a rollicking good time! Don’t forget your sunscreen and blankets.
March 25 :: Egg-Stra Special Easter Egg Party at the Children’s Museum of Acadiana – Hop on over to celebrate Easter at the Children’s Museum of Acadiana. The festivities will kick off promptly at 2 pm with an egg hunt. To make this experience fun with kids of varying ages and egg-grabbing expertise levels, we’ll hunt by specific colors by age groups; 0-2; 3-4; 5-6,7-8 & 8 -10. Our littlest hunters (0-2) will hunt exclusively in Wee Acres. Prizes will be awarded in all age groups. The celebration will continue with a coloring contest, Easter crafts, games, selfies with Stuffee, and egg dying.
March 25 :: Sunday Funday Kids Matinee! – Hey Mom and Dad! Here’s something new and fun to do! Sunday before Easter March 25 bring the kids to It’z Pop-a-licious from 1 PM till 4 PM for Easter activities with MLRmagic.com! For $15 per wristband each child will get their face painted, a balloon animal, a small bag of popcorn, small juice drink, and also a picture with the Easter Bunny (taken with your camera).
